K-Laser Therapy in our Northwood clinic
Flex & Flow Chiropractic are very excited to add this new, cutting edge K-Laser therapy at our Northwood clinic.K-Laser, a state-of-the-art, Class IV laser therapy, has been shown to penetrate tissue and initiate healing at a cellular level. You may receive K-Laser therapy either as a standalone therapy, or alongside your chiropractic or Physiotherapy. There is a VAST difference between the efficacy of different laser machines. Please do not assume that all Laser’s are the same!

Commonly Treated Symptom
K-Laser ensures that the treated tissue is in the optimum state for healing, and will either spend up normal
healing or act as a catalyst to change chronic conditions. The K-Laser is currently the only laser available which targets damaged tissue with such specific and wide-ranging therapeutic wavelengths, as it modulates between four specific wavelengths during every treatment.
It incorporates:
• Continuous and modulating pulse frequencies to promote pain control and healing.
• Pulsed modes deliver energy into the deeper tissues without over-heating tissue.
• Higher power – delivers a specific therapeutic dose in a shorter treatment time, allowing it to be used
alongside our chiropractic techniques, or treat multiple different damaged tissues simultaneously.
K-Laser therapy protocols enhance tissue bio-stimulation, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects. It accelerates cell metabolism by increasing blood flow, oxygenation, nutrients, cell division and excretion of waste products. Essentially it opens up all the vascular and neural channels allowing you to heal faster.
We would strongly encourage you to ask us about K-Laser therapy if you are suffering from any of the following conditions or symptoms conditions treated with K-Laser Therapy:

Can I Receive K-Laser?
K-Laser therapy is suitable for people of all ages, skin tone and body size (in fact the device alters the way it delivers energy due to these factors). It is suitable for kids, seniors, during your pregnancy or for both acute and chronic problems: The K-Laser programs are specific to your bespoke needs.
When/How should we not use the Laser?
• Directly over the abdomen during pregnancy
• Directly over any known carcinoma (cancer), although there is no evidence it would do any harm
• Directly over the thyroid, testes or ovaries, again as a precaution
• Directly into the eyes, but we wear special goggles in case the laser gets near your eyes.

Most protocols are between 4-6 minutes. It is normal to receive more than one protocol for each treatment.
Depending on the nature of the problem this can vary from 3x per week to weekly or longer.
This depends entirely on the nature of the problem. However, acute conditions may require 4-6 sessions, while chronic problems may need 6-12 sessions and some conditions such as osteoarthritis may benefit ffrom ongoing care.
